Description

Well, it’s been a wonderful hike up the Fern Canyon Trail. Now it’s back to the beach to catch the sunset and then grilled pacific salmon and a nice Mendocino County Sauvignon Blanc for dinner at the Mendocino Hotel…and maybe a cheesecake soufflé for dessert.

My first impression was that it looks like a dream .. literally, like a dream. There are no details visible to the eye, no distinctive landmarks that could inform the viewer where exactly she or he was, and yet everything seems so perfect; perhaps even too perfect for reality. Like it is, so often, in dreams. My second impression was that it reminds me of Ireland. That has nothing to do with the overall shade. It's the lay of the waterways. So much of Ireland, away from the towns and cities, looks just like this. And when you are there, in the early morning or near twilight, it does seem like a dream to your senses. This image and that experience are both wonderful. Terry
