Greetings all!
I have been a life-long artist since I could hold a pencil, and am a third generation artist to boot. However, I am struggling to re-gain my hold of my so-called talents; having to put aside my passion for a ten year hiatus. I work in oils, graphite pencils, colored pencils, watercolor, ink (pens and quills), calligraphy, oil pastels and acrylics. Portraits, fantasy creatures, landscapes...ect. I'm just, in the past six months, been working on adding to what I put to paper with the computer-and finding inspiration in quite a few artists that I've browsed through and contacted! Hopefully soon-there will be more for others to browse through in MY gallery. Cheers, and thank you for tripping through my artistic tulips!

http://darwinsmishap.redbubble.com/  I find it hard to believe that I've only been using Daz|Studio since just about September 12 '07.... Time has flown fast since I've gotten my hands dirty in this venue! Thank you everyone for the tips, hints, and comments in my gallery. All of them are greatly appreciated. I have recently begun the trek into C3DE (Now Carrara 8 Pro...I have Four freakin' versions of that program.  Oi. ) and Bryce along with Hexagon 2.5; wish me luck! And now? Poser. Having fun with that one, yus. I admit my style tends to go from one angle to another like a psych patient; but it's one way I can get my mind to ease up on the creative juices a bit. I appreciate everyone's tolerance of such a thing! ;) Thanks to all my artistic friends here!

Ahhh, now I understand the ears. :^D The eyes are a bit too much in shadow for me to see their shape, but he's a lovely creature.

with the highlight option removed from the textures. One GI light (with my HDRI .tiff) with raytrace and a HDRI background. Minor post to remove the small shine spots on his skin.it's an WIP, darn it. I read the above and did not understand a word of it. WIP not to my dog you won't. I decided after some time that the above is not actually English, but like likey French. I came to this conclusion becuase I do no understand French. An example is you use of "GI light" in American/English this would be some sort of army light possible a night scope. In French I suspect it is pronounced Gee Light and who know what those silly freach do with there lights. . As to your art piece I find the fellow to look very realistic, but very sad, probably due to his big ears. I imagine he has been made fun of his entire life. On the bright side he is proably very hard to sneak up on him in the DAR...k....LOL

LOL so funny, you! Thank you, everyone, who's commented! I appreciate all of your input!

This is fnatastic work! If you've ever perused my gallery, I've only used one 'true' male character - The Freak 4. If this fine fellow ever hits the marketplace, I'd buy him and would be using him in my Fae Valley tales. If you decide to create an 'evil' or UnSeelie version as well, I'd definitely get him - Brother against brother as it were.

Very well done!

I thought we were on the planet vulcan and that 7 year itch thing was in full force - lol... you know I'd love to give you some ideas, but, I'm not familiar with the elfs you mentioned, so hopefully next time I can use my big mouth and speak some words of wisdom - lol... ears look good, but again, I don't know what you're trying to make this look like.
