hehehe... I remember freelancer also:-) http://www.microsoft.com/games/freelancer/ ...you should try Eve online if you enjoyed Freelancer :-) I find them to be of a similar vein, with the exception of planet based interaction, if you know what I mean. Nice creation Alex. The backdrop looks like it was possibly quite extrordinary...I'm guessing a bitmap postworked NASA or HUBBLE image?! The 3 large boulders do tend to obscure a lot of the images backdrop, but do give a kind of sense of scale, im going with a single manned craft rather than a TITAN class ship or other :) As some have raised the lighting...there are some lighting concerns as there is a lot of light in the backdrop which would be picked up on the edges of the boulders in theory, yet the lighting on the moon suggests a nearer LOWER light source....again which doesnt seem to be picked up on the boulders...then there is the shadows that would be cast on the ship etc etc. All being said...I still think its a worthy creation & thx for sharing :-) Hope my crits arent taken as brash?!?!?!?!...not meant that way :-) ---BTW~: love the colour palette yellow pink & strong, rich earth tones...creates a good contrast :)

I guess I should have said something like, "the lighting seems to me to be somewhat directionally inconsistent"... ;)

A must zoom! Love the size difference between the ship and those asteroids. Great colors and texture to this. A fabulous space scene.

Beautiful use of light and doing the ship small really gives the rest of the image a massive scale, great job

A dramatic representation of a debries ring around a planet. Too many who try this fail to recognize the scale of such ring, and how quickly the particles fade/fall off to the left and right of the viewer.
