Description

Taken from my local area's most commanding viewpoint, about a half hour before sunset sometime last week. I'd just gotten back in the car after shooting stock landscapes, when I saw these balloons and duly jumped back out to capture them. Only after getting back to the computer later did it strike me it might have been a nice idea to shoot a bunch of successive frames and make it into an animation (gif?) later, with the movement of the balloons, smoke and sunrays. Ah well, there's always next time I guess! Taken with my crappiest lens but it's the only one with any reach past 75mm... roll on the day I can afford the Canon 100-400L haha!! Hope you like it, I'm continuing to try to catch up a little bit today ;) Adam

Usually hot air balloon pics are colorful and bright! This is a fresh new look at them included in a wonderful landscape in the warm rays of the setting sun! Very well seen and captured Adam!!! :)

I adore the simplicity and yet, this is not so simple as the eye might think. A wonderful mix of mood, landscape, sky and the subject...so simple and understated as to be equal to a drum roll.
