Description

Okay, this is truly a 'show-off' picture. We grew two Pride of Barbados plants from seeds. The smallest of the two, the one we planted into the yard(too soon I think) got the first flower!! We planted my honey's rubber tree in the ground a couple of years ago, and it is finally getting used to it. We're planning to plant the larger Pride of Barbados into the ground in the spring. Just experimenting to see if it will flower faster since we let it grow larger in the pot first. No, we aren't real photography freaks, and I tried to keep the pictures as LARGE as possible so you could truly appreciate how pretty they are. Anyway, ENJOY! (: Yeah, yeah, I misspelled flourishing. lol q-: What can I say, it was early this morning.

Thanks for sharing your garden with us.The Pride's not one I'm familiar with, so had to Google it. Nice if you have the climate for it. (Just one caution, since you're a grandmaman Carol -- from my Google reading, every part of this pretty plant is noxious if ingested.)

I like 'em. The flowers are very pretty. So I put my tomatoes outside today. Maybe I'll put a picture up for you when they're flourishing. ;)

The P of B are really spectacular and it is amazing you started them from seed! And the rubber tree is taking off. My is suffering from last winter so I am guessing you are in a nice temporate climate. Outstanding gardening and wonderful collage!

If I stuck a rubber tree in our yard, it would die over the winter. Love that Pride of Barbados plant, how big will it grow? I'm assuming it's a tropical too. Guess you don't live up north, do you, LOL
