Description
All you Snoopy fans should recognize the character snoozing on top of his doghouse in this photo taken last Saturday morning.
The little yellow bird is a little more difficult to see. Recall Woodstock (the bird not the concert)?

I always thought you were a wonderful chronicler of the midwest countryside, and I came back to see yet another of your shots of this beautiful landscape. This has a painterly feel, the grasses & sky are soft & painterly & very rich; and I can see the "snoopy" sign (full view) and of course snoopy and the bird. And what's behind it is a big carpet of greens & oranges & browns, and it feels very midwestern & also hilly. (For all those who think that every square inch between NYC and the rockies is flat as a pancake!) (Remember Saul Steinberg's drawing of "The USA, as seen from Manhattan"? This refutes it all.) Wonderful capture. Look forward to more when the thaw comes... (Ok: Here's the cartoon, in case you never saw it. It was a famous New Yorker cover: Here. Click on it to see full-size--a must.
