Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Oh how neat!! This image takes me back to Central Park in NY where I spend an hour just sitting on a bench and listening to a sax player similar to this one! :)

KAK! Where was I when you took this? LOL! I have absolutely no recollection of this guy, and I was with you every minute of every day except when you and Chip took off on Saturday, but that was after dark. You must have gotten so far ahead of me that by the time I got caught up, he had packed up his sax and left town!

Wonderful POV and vivid contrasts, along with the fantastic postwork you performed afterwards in order to bring this marvel to us viewers, Maz! The saxophone looks most golden.

This is an amazing shot! It's so alive and vibrant and even though it's a soundless image, it's full of music...something sultry and fun. It's funny too, because I just heard one of those songs (just last night) that makes me want to drink whiskey and smoke...I love that kind of music and this image brings that back to me in all of the best ways! Great composition too...you have such a fantastic eye for urban detail! Great stuff!
