love the dark mood and warm reflected tones... I can't find record of a 28-70 Tamron anywhere on the net, do you mean the 28-75 f/2.8? ... if so, it might be worth sending back to them to repair/replace as you might have a bad copy.. I got the quality control team to test 5 copies and give me the best one (wasn't taking any chances!) and I find it to be an excellent, sharp, contrasty lens on a crop sensor.. good copies are out there, and if you can get your hands on one it's a great lens.. ;)
