Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.

Actually, the implement behind the tractor is the old style baler that makes the small rectangular hay bales such as seen in the foreground by the front wheels of the tractor.

My uncle had an old Ferguson. I know nothing about them, but I always remember driving it around the farm at the age of 5!!!!I'm probably lucky to be alive!!!!!!!

Oh look! There's one of those 50's tractors I just mentioned to Andrea! If I'd started at the back and worked my way forward, I would have understood her comment. I LOVE that front tire configuration! A friend recently showed me shots of working vintage tractors, and it was quite exciting to see them. This style was my favorite. Looks great in b&w!

Great shot. Yes, lots of TLC keeps these old machines going for years. We have an old Mini Moline about the same age and we use it every year.

Very cool old tractor, A lot of the farms up this way still have them and in operation. "They don't buildem like this anymore." I love looking at them all. We have several flea markets and swap meets during the summer, and you always see a few of these sitting there. Great capture.

Like the pic in b/w as depicts the times it was first used!!!! My son once asked me how old I was when the world was b/w, watching b/w films he thought the world was b/w :o)

Wonderful POV and clarity in this snap. The old war horse looks in fine fettle, Bill. I see you converted the foto to B&W to give it that 1950s feel. All we need now is Henry Fonda at the controls.

Amazing how these old tractors just keep on keeping on. A shame the modern stuff doesn't last as long. The B&W shows the details very well.
