Description

This shot reminded me of the great swirling Red Spot on Jupiter, so I decided to name it that. There were some neat clouds during this sunset and each spot of sky had it's own charms. Note the Great Blue Heron fishing under the distant pier.

I just wanted to mention that I decided to crop off the top portion of clouds. I felt this version is more focused and has more impact. You can see it in the thumbnail though. I probably should have cloned out the section of pier at the bottom left, looking at it now...

Looks more like a black Herron to me...hehe ! Yeah, I agree something off world-ish about that formation and that's probably not a Herron, but more likely an Scuba-diving Alien ! Neat capture & ~Cheers~

Perfecto! I agree with the piece of pier at the bottom but it doesn't really distract from the overall beauty of the image! Those clouds are just incredible Kort! :)

This reminds me a great deal of our river delta at sunset. What a casual but exciting shot.

Stellar in colors, blends and dynamics, Kort! Didn't something like this happen in the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind? Definitely in the 2005 version of War of the Worlds.
