dramatic capture of a devastating tragedy. I was in Tasmania, fruit picking in the 70s and their were similar scenes near Hobart and when the fires were at their worst, ash was falling on Melbourne. alanwilliams

Its so true - long after the fire is over and even after the seasons change, the smell hangs around in the dirt, the rocks... it is haunting. Great shot.

Indeed life will return.. Trees? Not in mine or your lifetime... If they were man made .. They should tie the culprits to a pole and set fire to them... Except they won't.. slap on wrist and sent home to Mom... Rob.
