Description

Years ago, before I jumped back into the Poser/Daz/Carrara 3d arts hobby (I knew about Poser and even tried it but simply didn't like the program's interface even tho I loved the concept it represented), I used to do simple designs and illustrations as my artistic outlet. I may post more illustrations I've done earlier if/when I'm lacking Carrara renders to post. Here's a Racing team family logo I created for mine and a friend's SW RPG characters Kelvin Radegant and Vookoo Zealas several years ago. Kelvin was my character. I'm still quite fond of Kelvin, even after years later, perhaps possibly I had put the best of me into him. Kelvin and Vookoo were close like brothers, having grown up together, and the best of friends. Both young adults never had anyone to call father (Kelvin's dad Zeph was a pilot in the Imperial Navy, killed in action when Kelvin was only a few years old), but they did have two mothers they shared and to whom both were usually called 'mom'. (The mothers were also best friends, but not in the lesbian sense. They both just semi-adopted each other's kid as their own, likewise as the two boys adopted each other's mom as their own). TanCredi was Vookoo's family race team, both Vookoo and his uncle were racers, and his mom the mechanic. The race vehicles usually consisted of custom designed land and air speeders, some bordering on space capable unarmed starfighters. The family team transport was a Corellian HT2200. Kelvin usually was the gopher for Vookoo's mom, doing parts supply runs, while Kelvin's mom was the team's accountant. Kelvin by nature was more of a laid back easy going naturalist, preferring the wild outdoors and the forests of their home planet Druckenwell. He usually didn't get along with droids, as Uncle Hlarret would attest, after the one incident finding his WED treadwell droid in the nerf heard pen scattered into a million pieces and there was not a nerf in site. By Kelvin's exclaim (in his oh-so-usual innocent shrug- yeah right huh?), it wasn't intentional, just a brainy idea of his own to get the droid to do his job filling the nerf feed troughs. The mom's usually had a favorite saying: "Find one, and you'll find the other." To say the least, the two boys almost always wandered off at every starport. Perhaps I'll have to do up a portrait of Kelvin sometime, as I've got way more character background written. Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoyed the brief little intro story, explaining the race logo. Considering I still remember alot of the longer story, it was a pleasant reminiscence. Comments and critique always appreciated. Most importantly, have a great weekend everyone. :)

Now this one is a blast from the past for me also. In a couple of later campaigns, I created a twin sister for Vooko, Zarya. A hot pilot like her brother, she competed with Vooko to be the team's first string pilot. Lots of good gaming there--and a cool patch above. I'd forgotten you did one.
