Description

I'm here to explain why I'm so late to check in on your galleries. So, I decided to leave you with a something a little different until tomorrow. I'll be performing a dance number tonight for the first time in 3 years. Due to a very ill dog, a death in the family, my surgery last spring, a 20 lb. weight gain, plus a recent ankle injury I've been able to train, but not perform. And even though I've been dancing since I was 15, I'm nervous! Still, I need to get back up on the horse. So, I'm uploading an image today to take off the edge before tonight. I look forward to returning to the galleries Sunday--to my home away from home. I'll have been here two years next Halloween, so, I'm reminding myself that taking risks is often a good thing and I plan to celebrate! I also want to thank all of you for your encouragement and support after some difficult times this year. So, I hope this will make you smile. I am trying not to take myself too seriously anymore. In the scheme of things, I don't even know why we humans are here on planet earth, but I intend to enjoy the ride for as long as I can. : ) free hat and balloon by Adam Thwaites found here and at his site. The rest is Daz Studio and Freak 4 using the plus morphs. I used M3 for the astronaut. I created the background in Artmatic Voyager, it was rendered in Daz, then signed in Pixelmator. Thanks for looking and for any comments you care to leave. I'll be back tomorrow.

Well I would say "Break a leg", but I think I'll stick with "have a great time". The question is not "why are we here" but "where else would we be"? Neat idea on the art!

Cathy this image is ultra cool and I'm dying to know how you came up with this one. Sorry about your puppy and I'll put him in my prayers. It sounds like you've been through a lot but I know your going to overcome all of it and do great dancing.

Thanks, everybody for your support. I did it! My performance went well. I appreciate your good wishes. It helped to post today as I needed to take the edge off. My dog is OK now, magnus073, it was last year that she was having problems. She's 15 though, so, she can use all the well wishing she can get. : ) See you all at the galleries tomorrow.

Working on a piece of art is the most relaxing thing I can think of. It takes your mind off whatever is troubling it, and focuses it on producing a piece of art. So today was a success, you not only produced a really cool piece to post, but you've gotten yourself up and dancing again! Love the feeling of space .. the funky alien, and the surprised astronaut! excellent work

"I hope this one tastes better than the last one..." Excellent image to relax with before your dance - I'm delighted to hear it went well (yes, I'm criminally behind in commenting).
