Description

Failte! Good Evening! "Thig thugainn, thig co-ruim gu siar, Gus a cluinn ann canon nan Gaidheal....." Translated into english this means: "Come on, come with me to the west, until we hear the language of the Gaels......" This is part of an old traditional song of the bard of Melbost, Murdo McFarlane (Murchadh MacPh rlain), from the Isle of Lewis, written in Gaelic, the old language of Scotland, the oldest existing language of Europe. The title means "The language of Gael/ Canan Nan Gaidheal", an often interpreted song by many artists. A wonderful language, especially when it is sung by the beautiful gaelic ladies as Karen Matheson or Julie Fowlis for example or played by bands as "Capercaillie", the best type of music Scotland can offer in this moment. I am a great fan of this music since long years.... This is a main road in Scotland and I wouldn`t believe that: No other car, 5 minutes or longer. The pure pleasure for somebody from Germany with its 40 million cars and overcrowded streets.... Main road A 82 Glasgow - Inverness near Glencoe pass, taken at 8th August 2009. I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to send comments, good or bad, every critic is wellcome. Thanks for those who votes and commented my older pics. Its fine to be here in this moment! billcody

That looks to be a long and winding road. No traffic must be different. Very nicely done and appreciated.
