Description


This is Mission San Xavier del Bac, also called "The White Dove of the Desert". It was built more than 300 years ago. It is located a few miles south of Tucson, Arizona. Scanned from a 35mm negative.

This has the visual texture of a true archival photograph! I like that...it's artistic in that it's gorgeous and well executed, but there's a certain "scan artifact" patina to it as well that just makes it so much more textural. I think it's in the wee bit of fuzziness that I think works really well in this instance, because you get an implied story and history behind the photograph. I like that kinda stuff.
