Description

This is for my friend and mentor Larry (Networthy). Larry never fails to give an honest review and lately he critiqued me about how Ishtar's hair was not falling naturally. So I invested in the Total Hair Control system by Kaposer and I think it is one of the best purchases I have made. Not necessarily for finesse, but when you want to grab lots of hair and really move it this system works wonders. Larry is also the main reason you are all reading this story. About a year ago I was ready to quit because I felt I wasn't going anywhere. But Larry took me under his wing and encouraged me to focus on my storytelling. And so here I am today. Larry is also a gifted bard and I encourage you to catch up on his Arinee series. He has two good summaries at "Aranee-summary 1-15" and "Aranee-summary 16-23" So thank you, Larry, for giving me the gentle nudge and for being here for me. Having decided to venture to the city of Eridu to pay homage to their grandfather Enki, the two Goddess cousins take a stroll in the warm evening air, waiting for it to cool down before retiring to their chambers. Despite her excitement about the upcoming journey, Ishtar still has some reservations. Ninshubar dear, I do not usually doubt you, but are you sure that you can command the wind to your will? It is such a fickle force. More often it seems to be blowing against you than with you! My lady, you may be the strongest Goddess in Sumer, but I have special powers that even you do not posses. I assure you, I can make the wind do my will. It will move for us when I wish it to. Hummm, I certainly hope so for otherwise we will be stuck travelling for weeks and with the coming of the hot season I do not relish being stuck exposed on your boat, even with you as company. Besides Belili will soon be returning from her time in the darklands and I worry what she has learned from Ereshkigal. She will no longer be a light goddess - she will have been darkened by my sister. I do not want to leave Belili alone in Uruk without at least one of us here to watch her. Yes my lady, I am well aware of the imminent return of Belili but we must not take a chance on neglecting to pay timely homage to Grandfather Enki. That's why I suggested we travel by my boat Ventusi. I know I can make her plow quickly through the waters of the Euphrates. If you say so .... But.... Oh, wait... What's this? Suddenly our skirts are flying like crazy and our hair is blowing wild! It feels so glorious and cool. Ah, so do you still doubt me now, Ishtar? Isn't she beautiful? Isn't she powerful? And where was she hiding but a few moments ago? You feel her do you not? She is mine to command; do you not feel the wind? This image was a real bear. It took 4 complete redesigns of the set to get the right feel and then the walls and floors sucked up all the light. I had to paint in all the shadows in photoshop. But it is done, I hope you like it. Next I introduce a new demi god character into the pantheon. See you in the galleries. Previous in series

Wow Roxy, I am astounded and humbled. I'm a bit behind on my ebots, I had no idea! Thank you so much for your kind words. I love the hair movement! Sorry if my comment caused you some pain in the pocketbook LOL, THAT definitely was an unexpected outcome! Sorry you had so much trouble with this pic, at least part of it might be due to learning curve from your new tool. Hang in there - you've already surpassed my skills on many accounts LOL - and I coudn't be happier for you!

At last the story begins to unfold! So Ishtart didn't believe Ninshubar could master the winds! :) She must learn to trust her vizir. I can't wait until I see the boat!

Ok now comes the hard critisism...buuuuhuuuuu LOL!! :( Well this is great scene with excellent lighting, but posing is not that good...I like positions of Ninshubar's arms but their legs could be little different from each other... Anyway great little detail with blowing skirts...

Oooh! Naughty upskirt shot! LOL! Seriously, though, you did a great job here. The hair is flowing better now. Good purchase - posing the hair can be a real bear if the mesh doesn't come with enough morphs. Love the colors and the post-work on this one; your choice of colors really sets the warm friendly tone of the image. Gizmee has a point on the leg posing. Varying the pose of the legs on the two characters would have made this image even better. I'm also a bit puzzled by the rim lights here. The effect on Nin is perfect, but it seems to be on the wrong side for Ishtar. That's assuming that the cauldron behind them is the light source, of course. And what's with the skulls? Were they a gift from Ereshkigal? Apart from those little details, this is a great image/story, and certainly rates a 5.
