Description
It surprises me that I decided to dig into Bryce after doing Vue and Poser the past couple of years...I actually went thru my old CDs of files I kept over the past decade and found some old bryce scenes I used to do . I decided to update the old image I did 4 years ago (see thumbnail below) by enhancing some features such as textures on leaves and terrain.
Bryce was my first 3d software I worked with, then later I switched to Worldbuilder, and then as of today is Vue. I may do some updating of my other old bryce scenes and place them here.

Beautiful Bryce scene. That's funny because I dug out my Bryce CD recently too. I think because I have lots of content and because I've seen so many fantastic Bryce scenes here, it made me nostalgic. :) Looking at your picture it shows just how viable a program it is. Gorgeous render. Glad you posted it.

Your first image was very nice, but you've improved it dramatically here! The highlights on the second image is so crisp! The shadows on the trunk add to its realism and the yellow fronds at the bottom are a perfect addition. Beautiful image!

How similar. I was ill for some time and when I recovered a few months back to where I could more or less do all my usual old things I got a new computer and found my Bryce program. I decided to give it a shot for old times sake. And I have found that I like the rendering from Bryce much better and I seem to find the challenge of composing scenes in Bryce much more pleasurable than in a lot of my other programs. Of course I still use Poser and Max for my figures/props etc. but that just adds to the enjoyment. Will likely continue to explore Bryce as even after all these years of having it I always learn something new. In fact, one of my favorite artisits does incredible stuff in Bryce(Gevidal). Keep updating your old scenes as they were good before but from this example they will be even better.
