How very cool that each leaf contains a seed in Fall. That also explains why I have about six of these tall guys growing in my backyard and fast growers they are!! Live and let live:)

I have to go back and look - I must have a different type of mimosa because the branches/leaves on mine are more like lacy fronds on the branch and I believe the seeds would come from the delicate, fuzzy pastel flowers they produce. I know mine propogates by root sprouts and almost to the point of irritation there are so many each year. Very interesting shot!

A very soft, delicate feel to this image - nicely captured. The seeds in the leaves are a very effective evolutionary survival asset & the tree is very beautiful, but I think it's also considered invasive & tends to crowd out other species in many situations...
