Description
Inspiration Class Deep Space Explorers are the largest and fastest Human vessels serving in the Deep Space Exploration Group. They serve on the longest and most far-ranging exploration missions, sometimes lasting more than a decade. Inspiration Class vessels are the most rare Deep Space Explorer type starship. They are not capable of landing on planetary surfaces.
The primary advantage that Inspiration Class starships have over smaller Deep Space Explorers is their ability to carry multiple Deep Space Scouts in addition to their large complement of shuttlecraft. They also have the capability to split into two smaller vessels in emergency situations.
One of the most famous exploration teams in modern Human star-faring history is that of Deep Space Explorer Inspiration and its equally capable T’lar counterpart, Star Explorer Hy’anai.

Wow, a decade long trip. At 50 light years per day they could go 90,000 light years and back - pretty much anywhere in the galaxy.

Yup,these are pretty advanced ships. As my romantic / idealistic starship family, the Deep Space Exploration Group designs soar far beyond my more realistic Interstellar Exploration Corps / Galactic Exploration Corps vessels, let alone the less optimistic ships of my Humanasol League Fleet. Only my huge craft of the Galactic Travelers range further in their tours of exploration.
