Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us.  Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!Â

Wowee, that is amazing!!! Neato POV, perspective, clarity and textures in this marvo shot, Jodie! And, this time there's no cowboy on horseback in the scene, but I did catch a glimpse of Yogi Bear amongst the fir trees.

a plunging photo of real clarity, with your usual sense of atmosphere balancing the detail (ie, the way air softens detail as the landscape recedes). It's the delicate balance that distinguishes so many of these shots, everything in a vital equilibrium. The mountainside on the left has fine shade & light (I love the way they mix) and its balanced, to me, by the tree on the right which, even though it's closer, feels like it grew there as a balance. But your pov wins the picture most of all, because you captured a dip in the road at the bottom of the pic, then followed its curves into the horizon, with that RV 'marking' it for us & that beautiful sky filling the dip. (Your cloud captures in this series have been uniformly beautiful). The dip is dramatic & beautiful. This swept me in the first time I saw it, and sweeps me in now. And for anyone who hasn't been to this part of the US, you caught the hues perfectly: They're a dark sandy brown, almost bleak but with an earthen 'muscle' that makes it feel formidable. In a digital world, you capture a natural balance that is just beautiful, Jodie. A beautiful shot.
