Description

Walking across the hills from Kathikas, Cyprus to the small fishing hamlet of Agios Georgios tis Pegeias (where I spotted the Sun dragon previously uploaded), I was interested to see how low they keep the vines (compared to those along the Rhine & Moselle) - presumably it makes it easy to pick the grapes? I didn't hang around waiting for the grapes to ripen, headed off for a sunset beer! 8-) Moz.

The size of those trunks! Wow! I have vines that are 10 years old and they look like they stand on twigs next to these. I would be afraid of losing production if I pruned so heavily. Obviously, these vintners know what they are doing. wonderful pov!

I am surprised they are so low! This a very lovely shot, the greens are a beautiful shade of green and next to the brown of the trunks it makes a very stunning shot.
