Description

Did this for my wife Carol. It Only took me 6 years to get this close-up and only was able to catch it because my wife was monitoring the cacoon it came out of. I even got some shots of her and I holding it. Butterflies take a long time before they can fly. It's wings were drying out. It's a beautiful Monarch. They say that the black dot on the third vein of the hind wing means it is male. We've hatched several each year from the chrysalis stage. Nice shot on the snow ball hydrangea.
