I think the intermixing of smoke/clouds/sun's rays look very natural to me. Having the one lone traveler on the road adds to the devastation this disastrous event, whether man-made or natural, has caused. Stunning scene, fabulous lighting! Your images always require the zoom, and often the additional zoom my browser affords me, just to make sure I don't miss a detail!
