To start off, I am currently on workmens compensation since 2004, due to a work related injury. IÂ injured my back and spine. I'm not paralyzed or anything but IÂ do suffer from chronic pain and a couple other goodies, So all that comes down to, IÂ spend a lot of time on front of my computer. First thing IÂ did with the settlement was buy my laptop It's sort of become my window to the world. :)
About 1 year ago I started fooling around with some programs that I had installed moons ago and never used. Programs like Adobe Photoshop, Corel PSP X2 Ultimate. I thought that since I am mobility reduced and pass most of my time sitting in front of the computer. A little before that in time I got into desktop customization. Most of my programs come from Stardock/WinCustomize. I had been downloading wallpapers and skins freely for some time and started to feel like a leech. So one day I decised to try my hand at it and maybe give something back to the community, (WinCustomize) I downloaded a couple free programs like Apophysis 3D Hack, Terragen, etc. I like fractals and decided to try that also.
Today I have about 80 works in my repertoire with wallpaers, LogonStudio Vista, Icons and even an animated Icon! I have even won a contest for a wallpaper I submitted in the WinCustomize Summer09 Wallpaper Contest. Never in my 52 years did I think people would be interested in my art not alone mention did I ever think that I even had artistic talents. I was surised by the reception. I even have a gallery and a portfolio at Deviant Art.
