Description
Two different stages of the cotton blossom. It has a pinkish hue to it when first opening (top) and quickly turns white as it opens, making it highly attractive to our red-eyed bug friend.
Took these yesterday at Shelby Farms. Not sure why this particular small field of cotton is so far behind the other fields for this time of year, but it was a refreshing glimpse of what is usually seen around here in the spring time.

We do not see cotton growing this far north. Interesting to see the flower. Both are excellent photos!
