I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films, both black and white and colour. when marrige and family came along time for the processing side of photography had to take a back seat.  After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photography , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how other people view your pictures.Â

From the thumbnail I thought this was a toy, not a flower, how unique. Great capture.

Is it real? How fantastic. I thought you had some of the more unusual flowers but this really wins the prize. This is so wonderful.

Amazing photo and like several others I have to ask if this is real. Just seems to symetrical for the real world but gorgeous work.
