I like this piece very much. The simplicity of the composition combined with the perspective produces an uplifting viewing experience. I actually feel a positive internal response sitting before this image. It is something I could live with daily upon the wall. For what it is worth, living with a work that is not my own photograph is highly unusual. ;-) -Terry

WOW! Yet another piece I like quite a lot. Your gallery is amazing. This is a wonderful piece. I'm primarily a writer and as a result of that I'm quite a bit of a reader, and when I look at this piece, I'm reminded of the sort of evocative (though not entirely revealing) artwork that graced book covers in the 1960s, usually the "classics" published by Bantam Books. They always employed the use of contemporary art, and this image reminds me of an updated version of the covers I'd fallen in love with. Funny how art makes such associations in the mind. As for this image on its own, it's a wonderful piece of work. It has an oddly mosaic-like texture, but also a kind of stippled almost "comic book" intensity that's perfectly tempered and balanced by more oil-paint qualities. This is amazingly complex and a joy to spend time with.
