Description

Switzerland, Bern Berner Münster: Groundstone was layed 1421 from the state Bern and the Teutonic Knights, not the church. The money for the windows was collected from rich families of Bern. The first architect was Matthäus Ensinger. Between 1460 and 1480 Erhart Küng built the worl-famous Münsterportal. Only now in 1893 the tower reached its full height of 100,6 m. ************************************************ Thanks a lot for all welcome comments! ;o)

Nice POV, Rita. The clouds, behind the church, look about to break into a storm. I hope you had your waterproof jacket on, that day, my friend ... ;o) Warm regards, from a cool, dull autumnal Glasgow, John.
