Touristic Information Sign Pôle des Rapides (Montreal) Le quartier Pôle des Rapides est situé dans le sud-ouest de l’île de Montréal, loin du brouhaha de la ville. On y trouve, entre autres, des pistes cyclables, des aires de repos et de pique-nique, des restaurants, des refuges pour oiseaux, des sites culturels et historiques ainsi que des lieux tout indiqués pour pratiquer des activités aquatiques. L’eau est omniprésente dans ce quartier où les pistes cyclables longent les canaux et le fleuve, et où le rafting, le kayak, la voile et l’aviron ne sont que quelques activités que vous pourrez pratiquer. Plusieurs festivals ont lieu ici chaque été, pour le plus grand bonheur des résidants et des visiteurs. The Pôle des Rapides borough is located in the south-western part of the island, far from the bustling city. Among other things, you will find here cycling paths, rest and picnic areas, restaurants, bird sanctuaries as well as cultural and historic sites. This place is also well suited to do all your favourite water sports. Water is everywhere around this neighbourhood and you can cycle along the canals and the St. Lawrence River. Rafting, kayaking, sailing and canoeing are other activities that can be done in this borough. Many festivals take place here every summer, for the joy of the inhabitants as well as that of the visitors of the area. Thanks Magik
