Description

Cwm yr Eglwys is a hamlet located at a picturesque cove on the north side of the Dinas Head peninsula in the community of Dinas Cross between Fishguard and Newport, Pembrokeshire, in southwest Wales. There is a small beach with safe bathing, a narrow slipway for launching small boats, access to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which runs all round the peninsula. Cwm-yr-Eglwys is famous for having its very own microclimate by being a few degrees hotter and dryer compared to other parts of the Pembrokeshire coast. The 12th century church of Saint Brynach is a popular tourist attraction which was almost completely destroyed by the great Royal Charter Storm of 1859. Only the belfry and west wall and part of the graveyard, remain. Thank you for all your wonderful comments and favourites on my previous posts, i really appreciate it thank you.. Take care and have a nice day.. Aled..
