Description

Carla 'B' & Bernie still beg to differ. She has to just keep her eye on him (or in this case) pretend he isn't there. Carla has been upset today as someone was hammering outside (she doesn't like loud noises, we have bonfire night to get through yet) she has left us & has taken herself off into another room by herself. Bonfire night (AAAGGGGHHHHHH) lasts at least 2 weeks here (AAAGGGGGHHHHHH) on the really bad nights we have to take Carla 'B' to a lonely spot on the Lincolnshire wolds, where there are NO FIREWORKS (AAAAGGGGHHHHHH) We usually get home after midnight.

Poor Carla B. Some animals are just more timid when it comes to noises. Bernie is acting just like a cat. LOL

our cat hates it when my daughter plays her harmonica, it is pretty funny to watch what she does when Erin plays it.

Great shot Barbara, a sort of stand off here. I was looking at the Dog Whisperer tonight, and he sorted a Birman cat and a crossbred dog out, they finished up really getting on okay after a long time of dog chase cat and cat spit and claw at dog syndrome. I tend to switch the tele up loud on Bonfire night, and settle down in one room with my pets, and so far they have been okay, and in fact the 2 dogs can go outside in the garden while I stay with them, if nature calls without worrying about the loud noises. I feel so sorry when you have a dog that is scared, and yes fireworks get louder each year I find. You can get DVD's that get them used to the noises of fireworks, why not try that. hugs Janice and gang xx

Awww!!1 Cute pic, but you really have me intrigued. Just what the heck is bonfire night, and how on earth can anyone make one last two whole weeks??? Fireworks are involved??? interesting! Maybe we could start something new here!

Bonfire nights sounds like a good time for a 'road trip'. Looks like they have their eye on something. Dana

Too bad you can't take the Tardis back and ask Guy Fawkes in his cronies to reconsider if only for Carla's sake. I have a cat who hated it when my son practiced on the sax. The cat would come complaining to me and nip me on the arm. Of course we would ask him if he wanted out, but he usually preferred to stay in and complain. He didn't like Bob Dylan's harmonica playing either. Very cute picture of Carla and Bernie!

Nice capture... each one pretending the other isnt there, while keeping a sly eye on each other.. Re bonfire night two weeks?? what is it to celebrate?? and indeed how do they make it last 2 weeks... Sorry to hear Carla B doesn't like it. I have had cats that don't fireworks too, like it also...

Super pic. Independent aren't they? Funny (curious) how some dogs hate outside distractions and others just don't care at all. One will hide under a bed while another will snooze soundly. We've had both types one at a time.
