This image was the first version of the image linked below, made in August 2008. At that time, I made several versions but I only posted the final one. Today I was browsing through my archive and thought that maybe the first version was not so bad after all. So, I brushed it up a bit now, rendered it and here it is. I was going to add more ground level details but I liked its simplicity as it is. I hope you enjoy. thumb_1727525.jpg

... not so bad after all ?? My friend this work is outstandingly beautiful !! Yes the other version is also a real looker, but i must agree with others here and say that this one looks more realistic and yet still has this enchanted feel all over the place :-)

I think this version is way better than your first one. Not just because it is more dramatic, but because it is more convincing overall, especially the sky. Because of the lighting the terrain's bumps and details are also much more visible. I'd have liked some vegetation on the terrain. Very good scene alltogether. Please show us more from your archive :-)
