Description

Mermaid inspired me to post this today from our trip to Independence Pass. I was in shock when I hiked around a boulder past the usual stuff and found this view of the water below cutting its way through huge boulders. I knew immediately that the experience and the scale of it would be hard to share with others. When the sun hit that water just right, it looked even more eerie and the bright greens reflected on the steepest rocks. I wasn't going to post this, thinking nobody would believe it was this way. But now I thought maybe it makes more sense, thanks to Mermaid's post.

Good match with mermaid's posting. Is the green natural or caused by mining upstream? Or don't we know?
