Chestnuts were a part of our every thanksgiving. Excellent photo!

Too many of the trees have died with some now around to produce fruit..nice shot of these chestnuts. A man I know who "knows everything" told me that chestnuts and buckeyes are the same thing. Well, I went and found a buckeye, gave it too him and suggested he try eating it with his chestnuts. He saw the difference, did not eat it (which I would not have let him actually do!) These nuts in the bur are so enticing of fall arriving.

Love the colors in the photo. Chestnuts will always remind me of my Grandfather's farm (sold to developers several years ago). It's a shame I don't see too many Chestnut trees around. Thanks for sharing it!
