Description

I wasn't really happy with the last cover it really didn't look right so I redid it. I got some great ideas from Doug some of which I had already started working on as well as a few other suggestions I received. I have toyed with the idea of when I do finally get enough learning under my belt to start working on the comic that I may make the first cover be a close up of his chest. Comments, Suggestions, and Advice all welcome and encouraged. I'm learning as much as I can so if you guys have some insights on this stuff I'd love to hear it. The More input the better. Mirc

Text is not snapy - kind of catches on your tongue. Like the colors alot. Feel his hands are a bit small - might be the posing though. Somehow, him flying up off the road is not dynamic enough - only a few feet - not impressive. Needs more POW!!!. Looking forward to seeing more.

The low camera angle makes him overpowered by the building behind him. Suggestion: Move your camera up high, looking down at the street scene and have your hero flying more into the camera (though not straight at, a little off to the side is better). A closeup of his clenched fist would convey a sense of power rising to the challenge. That would be more dynamic, I think. Steadman's right about the text -- needs to be punchier. Think of how you would want the movie ad to sound: "In the Days of Terror, when good has been beaten, when evil has the world in its choking grip, comes Earth's last hero ... Starseed!" Or some such.

Thanks guys. Mechmorph I checked out your work to get an idea of what you meant. Your Lynx pic was a great example, thanks for the advice. I'll do some work on it over the next few days and see what I can come with.
