Description

From the travels of Sir John Mandeville. A lamb that is grown from a plant. It remains attached to the plant through a cord in the navel. The lamb can graze within the length of the cord, but when it eats all the vegetation within reach, it dies. An alternative description is of a plant that has little pods that, when opened, has little lambs inside. A middle ages explanation and description of the cotton plant; people only knew of wool at that time.
