I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films, both black and white and colour. when marrige and family came along time for the processing side of photography had to take a back seat.  After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photography , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how other people view your pictures.Â

Your churches look like castles, maybe this is the reason why I like them so much. Or is it the type of stones? Maybe, I don`t know. Pure history places! Thanks for sharing!

Such a lovely building, a bit of a shame about the anti-nature environment.

Beautiful church and capture! Lovely rich color and detail. When I was in Cambridgeshire about 30 years ago, a friend and I would drive until we saw a steeple and stop and visit. We found some wonderful churches with exquisite interior wooden carvings. It was kind of like a treasure hunt. Researching family history is a lot of fun and a bit like a treasure hunt too. My brother-in-law is very good at it and has found my given name back two more generations in my family tree recently.
