Description
I tinkered some more...solved the exploding stones by using the (2) distance shaders with less brute force and ignorance, and more logic and (hopefully) finesse! increased the density of vegetation and added an extra population - (thanks to Klas and Big Ben!) centre 'druid' stone dl'd from turbosQuid...modified surface shader with two image maps and a power fractal, minor pw=levels/colour+saturation/exposure and jpegged...once again, thanks for taking time to view/comment/and/or/critique as these are always welcome and appreciated! btw this renderd in nearly double the time of the previous version, I think I will lay off the grass(es) for a while

Very nice surfacing, Excellent

The entire scene looks quite natural and realistic. The stone texture work was worth it.

Impressive work, Jason. The grass is realistic and beautiful..and I like the center stone. Did you use an image map shader for the surface? Great job of varying the size of the rocks and covering a portion of some with the grass. Very cool!

Cool image...I'd still like to see some more color variation in the circular light sandstone rocks....they seem too pure....they need some chaos (textures and colors)to make them more real looking....still, the grass and everything else is super....keep on man!!

More bare ground showing through, maybe in the form of a circular path where those Druids (hippies) chant their way into a state of bliss, could be a way to go. But looking good as is.

Jason, I like it; and, your creativity here. Rock color variation and texture would be nice - but, would require a lot of image maps. Another route would be using Frank's 'Hero' rock that come with his stone bed pack. Lots of ideas here. A very good piece of work you did here.
