Such a simple change but my brain tries to 'fix' the image and it ends up looking just weird :)

Here in the Uk your problem is obvious, you must have taken this in Australia, where to our knowledge the world is upside down! :~)

It looks to me that the picture is upside down and the top is the reflection of the splash that's at the bottom. Cool image.
