Description
I was fortunate to come across this beaver at Elk Island National Park yesterday, and with the help of Whaleman was able to get some fairly good shots. (I was having problems with a newer lens) So, I will probably post a few more of them. I am just fascinated by these creatures! I hope you enjoy looking at them.

It's a great shot and clearly shows him/her collecting food for the winter. I wonder where he/she found the green leaves? I think all the leaves I saw around there were brown and dead on the trees from that last blast of cold weather we had that killed all our Fall colors.

Whaleman....I don't know where he found the green branches, but I do know that they were not on the water on the weekend, because it had a crust of ice on most of it. there must be some green leaves in a sheltered area yet.
