Description

My Mom Betty passed away this morning.75 yrs old. I will miss her very much. We dressed her in her favorite red dress. The one in my gallery for 4 generations, she has it on. Thank you. Cheryl

Thanks for everyone's support and prayers. She had a good day Tuesday. She worked crossword puzzles and ate good and actually crocheted on a baby blanket that the first Hospice nurse was working on. That was great. I am glad her passing was was not long. She is at peace now. Cheryl

I feel your pain... It brings me back to losing my Mother. It'll never be the same, but if you look for her you will find signs she is there and will always be there for you... I was just looking at my Mother's picture on my desk before I came to your gallery... My Mother passed in 2001 and in 2007 I feel My Mother directed me to her cabin which I am a part owner. I stayed there for 4 and a half months and worked on her cabin and felt she was standing beside me from time to time instructing me to do the work needed - alot of the work I had done she had talked about years before - that's why I say just keep her in your thoughts she'll be there helping direct you in your future decisions... I can see in this picture she was a sweet lady... it helps to understand it was her time and you were blessed with many years of her company, you were blessed to have her as your Mother. This day of passing is helpfull to be looked at as her birth into Heaven - next year at this time celebrate it instead of morn - SHE IS WHERE WE ALL LONG TO BE.

I want to express my sympathies for your loss. It's very hard to lose a parent or spouse - someone who has been in your life for so long. I know you'll miss her, but as you say she's a peace.

All her pictures seem to show a lady who knew how to have fun. She always looks a bit mischievous too. I can't remember my Mom's anger, though I know she had a temper. Likewise I can't remember her fearful times or very much of sad times, but what I can always hear is her laughter and though not the words specifically, I clearly hear the cadence of her wry humor. I hope you can carry the sounds of your Mom's happiness with you like that.

Even knowing the inevitable is close, doesn't make the finality of it any more easier. I'm happy for her that it was not long drawn out and painful. Her good day Tuesday sounds more to me like a great one. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers Cheryl, take good care!
