Thanks for your view/comment! I'm back...finally!! It took a lot of doing, but my puter is now fixed and the data I thought I would never see again is safely stashed on my new Terrabyte external drive. My advice? Never store anything in that section labled 'My Documents'. It's all encrypted so you may not be able to read it if a virus tries to kill your drive.

I've bought an external drive as well for storage. A friend was having terrible troubles with her PC, and that inspired me to hotfoot it out and get one. Glad you were able to recover all your files! This one's a beauty, marvelous grasses dried and ready for the long winter's sleep .. embellished with dewdrops ..
