My Name is René, born 03-April-1955
i come from the Grand -Duchy of Luxembourg, and my wife UteBigSmile and me have been living in spain the last 17 years, where we discovered renderosity and the 3d world.
Due to health reasons i lost my job and i got retired early, and last year (2013)we moved back to our Home Country!
............................................
My hobbys are PC,Internet,Pc-Configurations,
reading fantasy,as well as from april of 2008 doing 3drenders. ............................................... As my father bought me only the cheapest of accessories for painting in school(he was maybe not able to afford more expensif stuff.),the other kids were laughing at me,and so i decided that: i will never do art in my life, imagine i was 8 years old. so i managed to build up a "blockade",concerning art until april of 2008. then my wife utebigsmile was behind me and she pushed me to do something instead of playing only my ego shooters and working with photographs, where i was unable to get inspired. I had a copy of poser but i did not came along with the program, then i went to a 3d forum, because i told myself ,there must be more people like me outside in the cyberspace(LOL). Finally i got an offer,Bryce 5.5 for free and Daz-Studio,i tried a week around and little by little i was able to understand the basics. so i upgraded my bryce to version 6 and i got a platinum membership on daz, a lot of freebies and cheap articles,i bought like wild, Now i do have a content of +-500gigs and i carry on . what gave me the most is this feedback from the people here, and also everything well educated, the whole way of getting along with each other, the respect etc... gives me soo much. Update:UteBigSmile is getting better and better,in health and in spirit-lol. She does wonderful graphs as well-but now she is also addicted on DazStudio.3d. And this is it for now, "God" bless you all here the link to my page: renecyberdoc4.uterene.org/

I completely understand your position, Rene! There are some artists that I've commented almost religiously on each and every post, and I don't hear zip from them. there are others who will only comment on my photography and refuse to even look at my other work. I don't know what the answer is, Rene. BTW Thanks!

Nice words and work Rene, I understand what you are saying and at the same time I know how long it takes to view and comment on the various artists one has faved as an artist. Some days I get 3 - 6 ebot posts in a day from a single artist and I have a few that are like that lol. And I do like to comment on each work they do if I can. I do now know why many leave 1 or 2 word comments and that's ok as they probably comment on heaps of work.. I like to leave more than a word or two and try to make as much positive comment as I can, as we are all trying to get better.. I know I have a number that I visit and comment on that have never commented on my work and that's fine because I get pleasure out of viewing their work.. but I know what you mean it would be nice even if its an occasional visit to my gallery from them.. I know there are one or two that have commented on my work that I still need to visit their galleries and I will as I get free time.. I spend so long commenting on the ones I do, that many days I don't have time to do any art work especially when I have had a full day of work and that's why I cant post even one piece of art every day.. Anyway that's my excuse lol.. great work Rene well done and thanks for a rose...

thanks for your dedication - cool scene and detail - and yes - it's hard to gather some decent comments - but it's an artist's place after all - different mind and different tastes.

Wonderful image and thank you for the rose my friend! Ah, commenting/veiwing, always a touchy subject to talk about. I think you expressed your feelings beautifully. I try to leave a comment on every image that I view. Sometimes just one word or a short sentence, because I want the artist to know I've been there and I've seen their creation. Oddly enough, I am more likely, even if I'm in a hurry, to comment on an image that has had a lot of views and yet no one else has taken the time to comment. lol, yeah, I'm weird...sue me :) I think when we post art, we share a little bit of ourselves, and that deserves some sort of acknowledgment. It's,(commenting), like saying- "I see you, and you have offered a part of yourself, thank you for sharing". just my 2cents, and we all know what two cents is worth these days, rofl!

Good thing he brought the rose. I think she would have shot him, otherwise. I never expect people to keep up with my junk. I upload too much. I have no life. Its my therapy. Lol. But I know others do. & it touches me deeply when they try so hard to comment on each & every one. Bless their hearts! But I agree. There are those that just plain ignore you. & that's perfectly OK. But I'm not breaking my neck to get to their galleries. ;)

Wonderful gift!!! the image is magnificent!!! You are right about comments, it's only polite to leave a comment even if a short one. And I must say that I'm doing the same as you are. I cut away my comments from people who don't comment back (maybe once a time). I'm still visiting their galleries (always something to learn), but I don't leave a comment. Usuallly I'm very spartan in my comments. That's because I'm a little crabby, and I have to make up my mind about the right translation (and a lot of people here don't speak good English). I add that here in Italy I'm considered a good storyteller, but a very caustic one and I'm famous for my puns, but my puns (very pleasant to an Italian audience) may be embarassing (culturally speaking) for a foreigner. A collateral damage is that I often write a long and smart comment and than I reset it! Shy? yes, I am.

Thanks for the rose Rene. I understand what you say as I feel that way sometimes also. Some I just bypass now because I never have gotten a simple "Nice work" from them. I understand everyone is busy , but I am also. I get hundereds of ebots per day from Rendo and another 100 perday from my cat website where we try to help and give support to each other with our sick cats. I try my best to comment and some days I just pick one and give a quick "Nice work" to let you know I appreciate you and your work. Our friends are consistent. I seem to have about 40 really good friends that will always stop and give a quick comment. I appreciate them very much and they are good friends. I also try to take time to go to the what's new section and find pieces that I like and have a look and add a comment and even add them to my fav's list. They never reply in kind. So when I am overwhelmed with ebots , I pick a few and that is that. One must realize we are all busy with our lives and sometimes it gets too much with the comments and also trying to make a render as well. It is a tricky buisness. So don't feel bad, you have many friends and they do leave a comment or 2 so enjoy the community and their work. I also sometime get overwhelmed with the amount of stuff these folks are trying to sell to us. I love their work but the money just is not there. I have a sick cat whose medicine costs me over $100.00 per month. I have a sick mom I take care of whose medicine also costs me so much money. I hide my head here in the art world to try and forget those problems. Many other people are also in the same boat as I am so it is not that we don't like anyones work there just is not enough time in the day or money in our pocket to support everyone.. Many people come here just for stress relief and we do the best we can with the comments as they take so much time. I have been here for an hour already and have to get to work and clean the house and take care of other things. So my rant on your rant. LOve you and Ute's work all the time. You and many others I consider good friends. Hugs

Wunderbare Widmung, Rene... vielen Dank im Namen von uns allen hier !!!

Rene, i have just deleted one person from my favs, you can probably guess who it is !!, however they will remain nameless as i do not like to cast aspersions on anyones character, however this person is constantly in the charts and fair enough the work is excellent and i have certainly learnt a lot from the renders. However what i cant abide is the fact that i commented on nearly every image as it came up, i have no problem doing this, i do not expect a comment in reply, if people want to comment on my stuff then i am very grateful for that. The thing which annoyed me is this persons ignorance or intolerance of people who do not make the charts, or so it would seem. I sent them a mail in which i said that i admired their work and if they had time could they look through my gallery and give me some advice to take my work further. The reply,, nada, nothing, zilch, squat, not a word, the message was read, but obviously this person finds it hard to even look down from their ivory tower. i just must be one of the little people, not worth their time.....Just saying "no" or "bog off i'm not interested" would have been better than nothing !! Sorry to rant, you just touched a nerve. I feal guilty if i dont comment back to people who have left a mark for me. sometimes i forget to do it,but i always try to. People forget who gets them to the charts, its us who leave comments and ratings. I dont care if i make it to the charts, as long as one person is touched by something i post here that is all i need. As for your image, its great so there !!!
