It's like a topographic map that is shifting and blurring its boundaries over time. I love the rainbow colors and sheen. Fascinating work as always.

just exquisite Mandi, as an old map-as-art maker, I look at this and think, this is map-art at its most beautiful. Your sense of lands & continents is beautifully defined, your modeling (creating the 3 dimensions of land mass against the "seas") is both articulate & beautiful, your texturing of terrain is like painting & sculpture put in one (some areas, you create diagonal striations across the land, which are like the diagonal lines of a fine drawing), and your colors are (as your colors get, every few pieces) just beautiful & intuitive. The move from the more open & placid spaces of the left to the wholly intense and intensified overlays of the right is wonderful; as is the color movement you have in the flatter areas of "sea" (if that's what we can call them). Wonderful how you make so much color movement & morphing in such flat areas, countering flatness with wonderful blend, etc. And you've made a triptych, where each section is different but somehow connects to the others. All your intuitive seeing is here, and playfulness, and attention to fine detail, as well as your ever growing sense of tonal lushness (your colors!). I was offline for 7 weeks, I'm commenting very slowly now (I've been commenting a few galleries per day), and it's becoming increasingly harder for me to cover everyone each day, or even catch up with all I've missed. But, as the old tried & true litany goes, I've seen everything, Mandi, and at least I can comment on a few of your wondrous images. You've branched into areas of sheer painting & almost sculpture in the last number of months; and with what you're creating now, I can only wonder what you'll be doing a year from now. Brilliant, insightful and delicate, this is a masterful piece.
