Description

Done entirely in Adobe Illustrator in 2009. Dedicated to my fiancee, my personal wonder woman. Wonder Woman is a registered trademark of DC Comics and is used in this example of fan art for non-commercial purposes under fair use laws.

Thanks everyone. I'm a big fan of Wonder Woman. I especially like the more modern interpretations of her outfit as something a Greek warrior might actually wear. I also tried to work in some touches that are more indicative of a warrior that comes from an island nation like Themyscyra, Wonder Woman's mythic home. One example is the clam shell and pearl necklace. This outfit is a more balanced version of the fully armored look some artists use for the character and the barely-there show girl costume of earlier generations. I believe as warrior she would have some armor, but as a superhero who is naturally tough as nails, she doesn't need a ton of armor.
