Description

AlooooooHa~ Every once in awhile while shooting the lava flow, a small break out will suddenly become a large one as in this case. The heat will suddenly increase rapidly. I could stand the heat while it was small but soon as it broke out I could feel my cars keys in my pocket heat up quickly. I'm at least 10' away and the heat is unbearable...a few steps back were in order here. Mahalo for your kind comments on my previous images of this flow....I'll post one more and move on to something else...thanks for putting up with me...Aloha~

Hot Shot! (pun intended) Sorry, couldn't help myself. Actually it is quite spectacular. I'm assuming one has to be rather quick on their feet to get these and remain unscathed, yes? : )

It does look so very intense and I can imagine the sweat the rolls off of me as I look at this. Great capture of the natural contours of the lava.

I think there's a lot of infrared in that and it does tend to cook you from the inside out. Much like how a fire will heat you up when you're very cold much faster than sitting in a warm room, things we learn early in Canada. Great shot, wish I was there!

I sure wish you wouldn't end this series to soon cause I can look at these lava pictures without actually getting physically burned as when I'm there. Love your pictures and capture. Maika'i! Aloha

I bet it's hot... If you can feel your car keys, how are you eyebrows holding up = lol... Wild and Crazy, but your shots like this are just awesome.
