Description

Oct 25.... Arrived here 4 am in the morning to again make another attempt of time lapse video of the lava. I knew the lava was here but didn't expect this. Earth was on fire. I had told Dave before that if I had ever found anything big, I would call him. This was "Big." The whole place was on fire. I really did not want to interrupt Dave's beauty sleep this early in the morning but I had to? Wouldn't You? Well, its not a clear picture but you can see clearly Earth is on fire. Thanks, Errol, for sharing your photo and video. It is captivating to watch the lava creep slowly and then, when you think it has stopped, it sends out another "finger." I wonder how many days must pass before it has hardened enough to walk on it. :~)
