Description
I have been doing some experimenting with hdr and while I am NO expert on on the techniques I think I am making some progress. This image was a single shot, then over and under exposed to create the needed elements, as aposed to taking the over and under shots with the camera.
I find that taking the shots needed with the camera is restricting because the shots must allign perfectly. Taking one shot then ajusting the exposure on the camera and then taking another shot exacty like the first for me is hard dispite the use of a tripod.
I do like the process and will experiment more but at this time Im not sure about the results.

...it's nice....does your camera do bracketing, multiple shots at different exposures?

I have had the same experience as you with adjusting my exposure values during a shoot. I do have a good program that will try to alien the subjects in the image, however, I find I do lose some sharpness anyway. This is excellent and the colors are vibrant and rich.

My camera also does bracketing which makes it easy! Well Rob - this is marvelous and your progress is certainly in leaps and bounds!! :)

First of all you are getting the right results...looks cool. Rob, I am not sure the E-410 does auto bracketing. Am interested to know if your owners manual addresses this. I don't think my E-510 did it either. BUT, yes my upgrade E-30 does auto bracketing in four modes...AE bracketing (changes EV settings) which I think you want for hdr, White Balance (WB) bracketing, Flash (FL) bracketing, and ISO bracketing. I've tried all of these but haven't figured out yet how to/when to best apply them. Keep experimenting...there is an endless amount to do. I drove myself slightly nutty when I began to post and am now doing more with less:)

Well it looks very dramatic and beautiful. The golden lighting on the main tree and touch of red on the background trees with the storm clouds behind is a recipe for gorgeous!
