Description

These guanacos were near Caleta Valdes on the Atlantic Coast of Peninsula Valdes, Chubut Province, Patagonia, Argentina. In Argentina guanacos range throughout Patagonia from sea level to 13,000-ft. They are up to 4-ft. tall at the shoulder. I realized taking this picture, that a Canon PowerShot A40 was not the best camera to take these kinds of pictures. The guanacos are very shy and never let me come very close, and I am not sure if I wanted them to come close. This picture was taken on 16 December 2003. Thank you for viewing, commenting, and favs, Sig... Big Chill in Phoenix: High yesterday at the airport 64F, low yesterday morning at the airport 51F. This mornings low at the airport 45F, the lowest temp since February. Low at my house this morning 41F. Some places in the Valley were in the upper 30s.
