Description
And what would a blast from the past be without Hippies. The fellow on the right is wearing what was known then as wide wale corduroy pants. I haven’t seen these in thirty years. Can’t say as I’ve missed them. I also can’t vouch for what the young lady is smoking but she does seem unusually happy.

This would now be known as althernate lifestyle (PC speak) Thank the gods and goddesses that wide wale died, (not to be confused with white whale... talk to Ishmael) Wonderful photo! Yes she does seem very happy and relaxed!

I remember wide wale ... I believe I had a jumper made of the stuff! Great image, very representative of the times!

Love it! If what she's holding is not store bought, someone did a very nice job of rolling. Very interesting footwear on the guy closest. This is a perfect capture, so representative of the times! ("Teach Your Children" just came on my ipod)

Yes, all the footwear caught my eye too, and the paisely, hair, hats, shirts and so on. Takes me back to a time in which I did not participate.

The 60's : flower power, the best music, cool fashion, LSD, anti-war movement A picture, which pleases. Super.

I have about 15 pairs of cords, all different colours! (Not wide wale, but needlecord!) I LOVE this pic, it could well be me there in the middle but my teeth are a bit smaller and I didn't need specs outdoors.

Oh what a delight! I agree - the stuff she is smoking is not store bought! She could probably become a very good Kringgat Whisperer on that smoke! LOL.......

I'll taking unusually happy over war, famine, death and anger any day of the week. There should be more of it!

Hippies? Hmmm. This is a scene right out of 'the seedy side of renaissance faires' where the staff can hide from the crowd and chill out with modern vices. :-) Been there, done that many a year.
